Summary
for a while, I've been meaning to do a music video for my september mix, the final song from the album PLAY THIS AT MY FUNERAL. i had always imagined lead singer Maurice White staring distantly in a september rain, for some reason. so that is what i did.
Process
the song was mashed in Audacity a few years ago, using many elements from different songs such as September by Earth Wind & Fire, How to Safe a Life by The Fray, Human by The Killers and Nine in the Afternoon by Panic at the Disco.
the video is mostly two paintings, with the character and rain added in in TVPaint, and depth of field/camera movements added in After Effects in post. very simple technically, but still lots of fun for me, as i never really did much painting before.
